visited the show on Saturday - the weather held off, was really hot at times

augural RBST Festival will enable the general public and those involved in farming
at all levels to admire and learn about all the animals currently included in
the RBST Watchlist. The list which identifies all those animals near to extinction
has been the major reference base of the Rare Breed Survival trust since it
was formed in 1973. Since that time the RBST are proud to claim that not a single
animal has become extinct despite the ravages of disease and commercial pressures.
It is anticipated that over 100 breeds of cattle, equines, sheep, pigs,
goats and poultry will be on display and knowledgeable individuals will be available
to advise and discuss the various merits of the livestock on display
